Aw c'mon, guys, it's just a car! Someone could take it out, absolutely beat the hell out of it, and probably not harm anything (except tires, maybe!) as long as they knew how to drive a stick. Either way, it's not a 'vette, not a Viper, not a Fort GT, it's a $25K mustang. Great car, but nothing to be overly protective of. :yup:
Speak for yourself...if they want to drive it that bad, then they can go to the dealer and test drive one - and then plunk down almost $30K if they want to buy one.
The only people who I'd let drive it are my two older brothers, and they don't want to ask or accept my offer out of respect for it being a new and very special car (they know that it is a very personal thing to hand keys over to someone's sports car; they each have very nice 12-second early model fastbacks, which I'd never ask to drive). Yeah, it's just a car - and all it takes is a missed shift, over-revving, mis-judging a curb, etc. to screw it up permanently.
By the way, I like my GT better than 'Vettes and Vipers. Nope, not as fast (yet :thumbsup), but I still like it better - AND IT'S MINE, ALL MINE! :evillol:
Maybe some day I'll lighten up a bit, but not yet. It's still far too special to me (had her since November)!
I know I should share, and do with all my other cars, but for now, all I'm willing to share is the passenger seat.
