Question Missing under a load

Hi All. I have a 2002 Mustang with a V6. The only changes I have made were cold air induction and dual exhaust (split). I have had those modifications for about 5 or 6 years with no issues.

Recently, I started to experience a miss when the car is under a load. For instance, when turning a corner, I usually downshift a gear and accelerate after making ther turn. If the rmp is a little low the car will stutter like it is missing. In a worse case scenario it will shutter pretty hard. I have to then downsift another gear, like from third to second to bring the rmp up more. I would have to say that that it seems like it does this if the rmp is down near 2000-2500 but ok if higher.

I had the plugs and all of the wirses changed and it seemed ok for a week or so, now the miss is back. Does anyone have any ideas here for me?
Thanks,
JigSawMan

I would change the fuel filter, and clean the MAF with electronic parts cleaner.....

the MAF is the electronic sensor in your CAI.

MAF is in the intake tube.. between the ribbed rubber tube and the domed plastic bit where your air filter is housed.. u have to undo the plastic clips holding that middle plastic section together and it will come apart to reveal your MAF housing bolted in to one side of the plastic housing.. found a pic of the stock intake assembly and circled where its housed

sounds like the coilpack to me.

a low rpm miss under load is almost always spark-related.
